Alec Baldwin arrested in New York

The actor allegedly got into a physical altercation with a man over a parking spot

Alec Baldwin was arrested in New York for allegedly punching a man in a dispute over a parking space, according to the city's police department.

According to the officers, the 49-year-old man had to be taken to a hospital after being injured in the left part of the jaw by the impact of the blow received.

The altercation apparently occurred when the person in question tried to enter his vehicle into a space that the celebrity had been waiting for, according to the local NBC affiliate.

It is not the first time that the 60-year-old actor has had a run-in with the law. In 2014 he was arrested for misconduct after riding his bike the wrong way down 5th Avenue.

A year earlier, he was accused of yelling homophobic slurs at a photographer, an incident that occurred just months after he was caught on camera shoving a man into a vehicle near NYU in Greenwich Village.

In 2012, Baldwin was recorded attacking a New York Daily News photographer when the man was trying to take a picture of him.

Baldwin is known for his impersonation of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live. The actor also hosts "The Alec Baldwin Show" which airs on Sundays on ABC.

Some time ago, Ireland, the television star's eldest daughter, defended her father and declared that Alec had "grown tremendously in his struggle to control his anger issues."
