Red Sparrow reaches the Spanish billboards with the controversy served. Not because of the script, but because of everything that has surrounded the leading actress in it. In my head I felt like 'I'm a dream goth', but then I saw the photos and thought 'I'm a crack dream goth'. The only thing my eyes said was, 'I'm not drunk!'" Lawrence confessed in an interview with Sirius XM.
To play her role in Red Sparrow, Jennifer Lawrence underwent a tough training, she had to learn to use her body as a weapon of seduction to conquer a CIA official. A priori, the hardest part of the shoot was daring with a s-x scene, in which she confessed to feeling "very comfortable." What could have become the hardest scene to shoot was just the opposite. And it is that she, as comfortable as she felt, she bothered the rest of the team that, seeing her so relaxed, she felt annoyed. “Everyone made me feel so comfortable that I probably made everyone else feel uncomfortable at some point. Because I was like: 'I don't want to wear the robe. I am good.'. And everybody was like, 'You need to cover up,'" Lawrence said.
Red Sparrow is based on a novel written by former CIA agent Jason Matthews that has been adapted to film by Justin Haythe. The Oscar-winning actress acknowledged that both the s-x scenes and the ones in which she appears n-de were "lucky and liberating" for her.
