“I wonder why I’m crying?” the superstar ponders, dabbing at her tears, before adding: “I’ve talked about this before.”

The reality star mogul is seen wearing a yellow ruched turtleneck on the show while she’s soothed by telly veteran Letterman who can be heard saying “No, no, no, no, no, no. We alright?” as he attempts to comfort the star.

Letterman’s return to Netflix is set for October 21 where he chats to Kim, Lizzo, Dave Chappelle and Robert Downey Jr. in a series of interviews.

The topic of conversation is yet to be revealed but the striking footage of Kim’s rare public emotional breakdown comes amid her rumoured marriage drama with Kanye West.

He is said to be jetting off around the world in a bid to "find himself" amid rumours the reality-star-turned-lawyer is close to filing for a divorce.

A source told heat magazine : "Kim is one step away from filing for divorce, but first she wants to sit down with Kanye and talk over the important issues, such as the kids and finances.

"He is doing everything he can to avoid that, so on the rare occasion he does see Kim, it's just for a brief dinner, and then he'll dash off as quickly as possible."

She also revealed she was forced to care for her husband when she found out he had coronavirus in March.

"Kanye had it way at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on," she told Grazia. "It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no-one else in the house to help."

Despite having to look after her four kids, she made sure to tend to her poorly husband.

She added: "I had to go and change his sheets and help him get out of bed when he wasn't feeling good. It was a challenge because it was so unknown.

"Chnging his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time."
