The day Elizabeth Olsen auditioned for the role of Daenerys in "Game Of Thrones"

We know that Emilia Clarke did better, what we didn't know is that the Marvel star was the worst of all the hopefuls.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a community of fans eagerly awaiting the start of the series that would portray her favorite book saga. A decade later, that disappointing ending closed what was a great experience with a bittersweet taste... but with many anecdotes left to tell. Did you ever think that the protagonist of "WandaVision" would be part of that list of stories? Recently, she revealed that she would have been the Mother of Dragons, if only her casting hadn't been "horrible".

Currently, the success of the Avengers franchise and the inauguration of television programs in the UCM catapulted the actress towards her greatest moment of popularity. However, like any career, Olsen started her journey from the bottom and was slow to find her place in the industry. Mainly because, 10 years ago, what could have been the beginning of her journey in the medieval world ended up being her “worst audition ever”. For THR, she confessed:

"I did the casting for 'Game of Thrones'. There was the assistant director in a small room in New York with just a camera on me reading the script. He played Khaleesi's speech to me as she walks out of the fire. It was horrible. Of course, I did not receive a return of my calls.”

It may be that back then seeing Emilia Clarke resplendent in the final result of the scene dedicated to the birth of her 'children' hurt her heart, but certainly, everything happens for a reason: until she got the role of Wanda Maximoff, she participated in numerous interesting projects like “Watch Sorry for Your Loss” and “Wind River”. In addition, the actress mentioned in the past that she suffered from panic attacks during that time, so playing one of the most important characters in the biggest TV show could have been dangerous for her mental health.

Would you have liked to see Elizabeth Olsen as Daenerys Targaryen? It should be noted that, possibly, that would have prevented us from enjoying her presence in Marvel later (although Clarke said that she wants to be part of the next MCU titles). Indeed, it's good to know that both the Scarlet Witch and the Dragon Queen found the ideal performers for her.
