EL HERALDO verified the viral tweet and discovered that the photo of Harry's wife that goes around the world does not correspond to 2022
LONDON, ENGLAND.- Social networks have been flooded with some photos comparing Meghan Markle with the late Lady Diana for wearing a similar outfit. "She knew exactly what she was doing," says the caption of a photo that went viral.
Internet users claim that Markle used the outfit for the death of Queen Isabell II, however, it is false since her funeral will be until September 19.
It is important to clarify that the black suit, accompanied by a trench coat, a wide hat and a pin with red flowers on the left side, is very common in royal protocol. On this occasion, Harry's wife's outfit corresponds to another event and not something that she has worn for Queen Elizabeth II.
Meghan has not been the only one who has dressed in this way, she has also looked identical to Camila Parker, wife of King Charles; Kate Middleton, wife of William; and to Queen Isabell II herself during the commemoration for the 100 years of the deaths and victims of the First World War.
What is true is that both costumes have many similarities. Princess Diana wore it in 1991 for Armistice Day, marking the end of the First World War. While Megan Markle used it in the events held in November 2019.
Harry, Meghan, Kate and William were caught together
Although the distance between Princes William and Harry is known, this Saturday they were caught together outside Windsor Castle. Along with them walked their wives Kate and Meghan.
The four together contemplated the floral offerings to Queen Elizabeth II, who died on Thursday.
The two couples walked to the applause of the crowd, with whom they had a long conversation.
“William, William”, the citizens stationed behind the fences shouted, while they gave bouquets of flowers to the brand new Prince and Princess of Wales, dressed in black.
