Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who were relegated all the way to the bottom of the official royal website earlier this week, are reportedly worried that they are losing their place in the royal family.
As per several reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were demoted to the bottom recently, placing them just above Prince Andrew. The couple was previously placed below senior royal members but above minor members of the family, which put them halfway down the page of royal profiles.
However, with the current shift, Harry and Meghan fear that they are slowly being erased out of the royal picture.
"Harry and Meghan must be worried that they are slowly being erased out of the royal picture," The Sun Online reported, quoting royal biographer Phil Dampier.
"And the fact that they have been 'demoted' on the Palace website is another indicator that they are not seen as working royals," the report added.
The report further revealed that King Charles seems to be hesitating to make a decision on whether to grant Prince and Princess titles to Meghan and Prince Harry's children - Archie and Lilibet.
As per the protocols that were placed by King George V in 1917, the children and grandchildren of a sovereign automatically have the right to the title HRH and price or princess.
According to Page Six, after Meghan and Harry announced stepping down as senior members of the royal Family, they were pushed down below Princess Anne but now that King Charles III has ascended to the throne, they sit directly on top of Prince Andrew.
Their demotion is only the latest hiccup the couple has encountered in recent weeks.
