The image was taken in 2020 by Robert Barbera, who claims that she "has infringed copyright".
Britney Spears messes it up saying that I wish I had Christina Aguilera's dancers to make her look slimmer.
Singer Miley Cyrus has been sued for posting a photo of herself on Instagram. In the image she appeared greeting her followers, which does not seem to have any controversy around her. However, the photographer who took it has decided to claim it.
Robert Barbera took the photo in 2020, but it has been now that it has gained more notoriety by being published by the singer herself on social networks. For that reason, on September 9, he decided to sue her.
"The photograph was copied, stored and displayed without license or permission, thus infringing the copyright of the plaintiff," said the author of the image, who has already acted in this way with more known faces such as Dua Lipa.
"The infringement includes a URL for a fixed and tangible means of expression that was permanent or stable enough to allow it to be communicated for a period of more than a transitory duration and, therefore, constitutes a specific infringement," added the photographer.
These types of lawsuits are becoming common among photographers and celebrities. The Splash news agency also did the same with Jessica Simpson since "the copy of the photograph that she distributed on Instagram had been altered." For this, she was asked for $25,000.
