Angelina Jolie poses n-ked on magazine cover, talks 'visible and invisible' scars

Angelina Jolie, 44, has posed n-de on a magazine cover and talked about the “visible and invisible” scars she has.

The American actor, filmmaker, and humanitarian stripped off for the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar, covering her chest with her arms and wearing nothing except a sheer sheet of fabric.

In another, the mother-of-six poses in nothing but a Leg Avenue body stocking, Vince Camuto briefs and Gianvito heels.

In the cover interview, Jolie talked about the “visible and invisible” scars she has accumulated.

She said: “My body has been through a lot over the past decade, particularly the past four years, and I have both the visible and invisible scars to show for it.

“The invisible ones are harder to wrestle with. Life takes many turns. Sometimes you get hurt, you see those you love in pain, and you can’t be as free and open as your spirit desires.

“It’s not new or old, but I do feel the blood returning to my body.”

Jolie does not specify what her phrase “visible and invisible scars” refers to. However, it is known Jolie underwent a double mastectomy in May 2013, in order to reduce her chances of cancer risk, after being diagnosed with the BRCA1 which greatly increases risk of breast and ovarian cancers.

In September 2016, Jolie’s separation from her third husband Brad Pitt was announced.

The divorce was finalized in April this year, following a custody agreement for the pair’s six children – three adopted and three biological – was established in November last year.

While this is Jolie’s first n-de photoshoot, she has previously done risqué Esquire covers – wearing a see-through swimsuit in 2004 and draped in a silk sheet in 2007.

As for how she stays in shape, Jolie’s personal Gunnar Peterson told Pop Workouts in 2013 the star combines circuit training with aerobic exercise to stay fit.

His grueling “Angelina Jolie workout” involves forward lunges, bicep curls and squats done with a 5-10 pound dumbbell.

While little is known about Jolie’s present day diet, it’s believed she followed an eating plan of 70% carbohydrates and 30% protein - with five small meals a day – in preparation for her role in the 2010 action film ‘Salt’.
