Madonna lashed out at Lady Gaga and revived the "cold war" between the two stars

The Queen of Pop accused her rival of appropriating one of her famous phrases from the 80s

Madonna and Lady Gaga have been feuding for years. However, when it seemed that the fight between the two was already a thing of the past, the "Queen of Pop" inflamed the flames again and attacked her rival for allegedly appropriating one of her famous quotes.

"There can be 100 people in a room, 99 of whom don't believe in you, but if one does, it changes your whole life," Gaga said repeatedly during the A Star is Born promotional tour.

The quote turns out to be very similar to one from Madonna from the 1980s.

The "Material Girl" herself shared on her Instagram stories on Monday a video of an interview she was given 30 years ago in which she can be heard saying, "If there are 100 people in a room and 99 say they like it, I just remember that person who didn't like it."

Madonna later posted a selfie and wrote, "Monday don't fuck with me," sparking a comment war between her fans and loyal Gaga fans.

When Gaga broke into the world of music, both artists seemed to have a good relationship. Madonna and Gaga posed together at the 2009 Marc Jacobs show and even performed together for a Saturday Night Live skit in which they re-enacted a fight.

However, the relationship was fractured by alleged similarities between the song Born This Way and the historic hit, Express Yourself by Madonna.

"I definitely think she uses references to me in her music," Madonna said in 2012. "When I heard Born This Way on the radio, I was like, 'This sounds familiar,'" Madonna said at the time.

For her part, Gaga also took aim at the legendary artist who recently celebrated her 60th birthday.

Not always everything has been negative, on some occasions both stars have exchanged words of praise and admiration.
