Anna Kendrick refused to explore n-dity scenes in new show Love Life

'I'm not really interested in it': Anna Kendrick refused to explore n-dity in s-x scenes for new show Love Life - and jokes it was 'gross' to simulate using a s-x toy in the series

Anna Kendrick's new series, Love Life, sees her locking lips or getting into bed with a new love interest each episode.

But the American actress says while she had no problem with simulating s-x on the show, she refused to shoot n-dity scenes.

'My personal feelings on n-dity – that I’m not really interested in n-dity for me – stayed the same,' the 34-year-old star told Sydney Morning Herald on Sunday.

Anna's new TV show Love Life will premiere exclusively on Stan in Australia on May 27 - with weekly episodes dropping the same day as the US.

Anna plays a female protagonist, museum tour guide Darby, looking for love in New York City.

The Pitch Perfect star said it was 'weird' to film a show with which she had so many flings and love interests in a short period of filming.

'It was definitely weird to know that we were going to meet and within a week we were going to be in bed pretending to have s-x!' she said.

'I’ve never had a problem with simulated s-x scenes – that feels like it’s about the character, whereas I only get one body, so n-dity is more about me,' Anna said about refraining from filming fully n-de in scenes.

The Oscar-nominated actress spoke of one particular scene: 'Tricia Brock directed an episode of Love Life where Darby uses a s-x toy and I said: "Tricia, do you just like to have me doing something gross every time we work together?"'

Stan released the official first-look trailer for the new ten-episode romantic comedy series last month.

The TV show is Kendrick's first full-length scripted series after a long list of movie credits since 2003.

Love Life is billed as the journey from first love to last love, and how past relationships shape people into who they become and finally end up with forever.

Kendrick stars in the first season along with ZoĆ« Chao (Downhill, Strangers), Peter Vack (Someone Great, The Bold Type), Sasha Compere (Miracle Workers, Uncorked), and Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread, Another Year).

While playing a single gal on the new romantic comedy, the Oscar nominee herself is in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Ben Richardson.

The show, which will air in the states on HBO Max, will release new episodes weekly in Australia the same day as the US on Stan.
