The British actress reveals the reason why she decided to take it upon herself after a first scene that was performed by her double.
With the long-awaited first season of The Witcher already available on Netflix for just a week, it is not surprising that the spotlight is on its leading trio: those in charge of interpreting the most important figures in the well-known history Geralt de Rivia, Yennefer and Ciri, respectively. While the fame of Henry Cavill, in charge of giving life to the iconic monster hunter, is indisputable, the young British actresses, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan, have seen their fame multiply by the day.
The work of both when it comes to embodying Yennefer and Ciri has been highly praised and both have assured on various occasions that they have dedicated themselves body and soul to finding the best version of their characters. Already on their recent visit to Madrid, the actresses assured their commitment when it came to cheering up the action scenes or getting on a horse as far as possible and, as Anya Chalotra recently recounted in statements to Metro, they have also felt more comfortable interpreting her character's s-x scenes herself despite having a double.
I only used double for the first s-x scene because I realized very quickly in that first scene that I wasn't comfortable with anyone else being Yennefer. Because it's still part of acting, right?
As Chalotra explains, once she saw her double interpreting Yennefer's s-x scene prior to her transformation, the only one in which the n-de is complete, she decided without hesitation that she herself would take care of the rest of the scenes, that from then on moment would be semi-n-de scenes.
"Watching it was hard for me, so if we were going to talk about the s-x scenes, it would be how best to shoot them so that I felt comfortable and the viewer still got what we needed to move the story forward." . In addition, according to the actress, all the scenes that involve n-dity are more than justified:
The only things I had to get n-ked for were the transformation scene and other scenes that really served the development of the story and were really necessary.
