Celebrities who reacted badly to, for example, the paparazzi.
The shameful beating of a cameraman by Cara Delevingne and Margot Robbie's security employees is outrageous, but sadly nothing new. In this part of the world there are several extreme cases, such as when Diego Maradona ran to the press with compressed air bullets. "Diego" was not going through good times in those days and journalists suffered from it, back in 1994. And these are not Third World issues: James Hetfield did not have a rifle at hand and opted for blows to get rid of reporters. RollingStone reflected at that moment: And what did they want, the man is the leader of the heaviest band in the world.
Let's go with five cases of public (and violent) resonance against the demands of the press:
The first, and since we were with Maradona, let's continue with Argentina: in 2013 Justin Bieber suspended a massive show and went to party in a pub. His "patovicas" beat the photographer Diego Pesoa, who started a case against him. Bieber left the country and the courts imposed an impediment to reentry that the artist was very amused… until another show appeared on the calendar. They crossed a couple of papers and everything was solved. Conclusion: neither Justin nor Argentine justice have too much honor.
The second occurred in 2007, when Jude Law wrested the camera from a paparazzi. He was arrested at the door of the mansion of his home. They took him to testify to a Marylebone prosecutor's office where everything was settled with money. Conclusion: US justice is not much better than the trans-Andean one. And here's a bonustrack: two years later the actor had a similar incident with a female journalist. He didn't go from there either.
Third: Sean Penn was pictured boxing a photographer. The victim's colleague, Ron Galella, was able to flee and the image was made public. It was 1986, the boy was dating Madonna and everyone wanted an exclusive on him. Things got tough when, in the same year, Sean discovered a paparazzi inside his hotel room in Macau, China. The actor's friends had to hold the man, who wanted to throw the intruder out of the window, without further ado. The Chinese government opened two things to him: a case for attempted murder... and the door of an airplane, through which Penn "fled" the country. Conclusion: Chinese justice… uff, let's not get dense.
Fourth: Alec Baldwin had his altercation after the delivery of his wife, Hilaria. The young woman has just given birth to Carmen Gabriela and she could not leave the hospital due to the harassment of a photographer. Alec took him by surprise and snapped, “What kind of sick, twisted psycho is after a woman who just got out of the hospital after having a baby?” It didn't go any further, luckily.
And the fifth case, and last, with the beloved Britney. Her face was portrayed for eternity, shaved and furious, trying to hit the cameramen with a green umbrella. The curious thing: today green umbrellas are used as a banner for those who defend the privacy of celebrities in front of the press. Conclusion and on this no one can disagree: it's not just justice, the whole world is crazy.
