The actress gave a complete interview to "Women's Health" where she recalled her problems with eating
At 34, Hilary Duff seems to be coming back with it all, after years of complications that led to her estrangement from her industry. Speaking as frankly as possible with her publication, the actress recalled her adolescence, under unimaginable pressure.
At 17 years old, the world was under her feet and the young woman that she was unloaded on her body all the pressures that she received. The Lizzie McGuire actress suffered from eating disorders that endangered her life. So many years later, already out of the most pressing leagues, the blonde remembered it like this: "Due to my career, I couldn't help but think: 'I'm in front of the cameras and the actresses are skinny.' It was horrible". Twenty years later the strip will have a new season.
Hilary came out to face the media once again, but now with another strength: “I think the older I get, the more confident I am. My body has been in many different shapes and sizes, and I am fascinated, first and foremost, by being a woman. And also all the changes that your body can undergo throughout life”. Completely naked, for the first time, on the cover of the US edition of "Women's Health", Hilary looks wonderful, without having to subject her body to unhealthy pressures: "I value my health, I do activities that make me feel strong instead of just improving the exterior,” explained the actress.
“I spend time with people who make me feel good and who share similar views on health and body positivity, get enough sleep, and eat a balanced diet.” “I think that at 34 years old I have gained a lot of respect for my body. It has taken me everywhere I needed to go. It has helped me build a beautiful family," Duff concluded. The actress has gone through three pregnancies and is currently married to Matthew Koma, the father of her two youngest children.
