Kendall Jenner has spoken out about that controversial dress she wore to a friend’s wedding which was branded ‘inappropriate’.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star attended the wedding of friends Lauren Perez and David Waltzer in November. However, she was accused of almost upstaging the bride as she wore a revealing strappy black Mônot dress with a cut-out design across the chest that left little to the imagination.
Now two months after the nuptials, which also saw Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber in attendance, Kendall has defended her eye-popping choice of outfit.
New wife Lauren recently shared a post with a carousel of photos from her special day, including Kendall in the dress, and captioned the post: ‘The greatest night of 2021! Happy New Year everyone!!!’
In the comments, one of Lauren’s followers wrote in reference to the model’s outfit: ‘If the bride herself doesn’t gaf [give a f--k] why do you care?’
Lauren defended her friend and replied: ‘She looked stunning and I loved it!’
Kendall, 26, then entered the chat and revealed she didn’t blindside Lauren with her dress, stating: ‘Obvi, asked for your approval in advance, too. We love a beach wedding.’
Criticising the supermodel’s bold look, one previously wrote on social media: ‘Inappropriate outfit at a wedding @kendalljenner, I’m embarrassed for you. #cringe.’
Since the wedding, Kendall has been pretty unbothered with the backlash as she enjoyed a dreamy Christmas and new year with boyfriend Devin Booker.
The couple recently enjoyed a cosy getaway for two and shared loved-up snaps from the trip on Instagram.
In one photo, basketball star Devin is seen with a ring appearing to be on his left hand as Kendall snapped the selfie with basketball star Devin, sparking rumours the pair have secretly married.
