A confusing episode occurred on a flight, when the ex-boxer "beated up" a passenger.
Mike Tyson had his moment of fury on board a Jetblue airline flight. The boxer was waiting for the aircraft to take off when a man began to harass him from the back seat. The edited images are not entirely clear and seem to contradict, or at least do not fully accompany, the testimony of a witness.
The story of the event was made by TMZ. Even so, the account of what happened is not entirely clear. In the images you can see a strange, disjointed man who speaks to the camera, as if the person handling it was a friend of his, and does not seem to admire but rather harass the heavyweight champion. The sequence is cut and Tyson already appears hitting the boy hard.
According to what was expressed by TMZ, a witness, this friend of the victim (the same one who was carrying the camera, then?) told that the man had already obtained an autograph and a photo with the athlete. Then, the assault and the final testimony: "He just tried to ask for an autograph, man, I don't know what happened."
When reviewing the edited final sequence that went viral on the networks, we can finally see the boy attacked again out of his mind, making gestures, as if mocking. Then? Was the man an overzealous fan or a bully who made fun of Tyson in some way? The TMZ account explains the situation as an incomprehensible outburst from Tyson.
However, the vision of Camilo Zamora, editor of DirectTV Sports, seemed to complete more the essence of the facts: “Mike has a short fuse and that is why he has had many problems throughout his life and career. Of course it's not ideal to see a boxer beat up a civilian, we all know that. But in this case it was seen that he was harassed by a drunk in mid-flight. Tyson was very calm flying first class.
Anyway, the boxer could not take off and had to get off the plane to testify before the airport prosecutor's office.
