It’s no secret that Hollywood’s standards of beauty are ridiculously high. From their (practically) unattainably low body fat to chiseled abs and tiny waists, A-listers often make us want to shame-eat. Unless you have a personal trainer and/or a full beauty squad, who can pull off that level of perfection?
Thankfully, among the many stars we have our eyes on, there are those who have found fame and fortune with more “normal” bodies. Keep reading for a list of 7 celebrities who celebrate their curves and cellulite!
Aside from her unique vocals, singer Billie Eilish is known for her eclectic sense of style. The 18-year-old often favors baggy clothes, so when she was spotted out and about in a tank top, fans had a lot to say. “In 10 months Billie Eilish has developed a mid-30’s wine mom body,” one person wrote on Twitter.
But Billie clapped back at the haters by sharing influencer Chizi Duru’s video on her Instagram story to get her point across. “Ya’ll gotta start normalizing normal bodies, okay?” Chizi urged her followers. “Not everybody has a wagon behind them, okay? Guts are normal. They’re normal. Boobs sag … especially after breastfeeding. Instagram isn’t real!”
Preach, girl.
Actress Jennifer Lawrence has been honest about how dieting just "isn't for her." Rather than starve herself, she's hopeful that society will change its perspective and embrace a more "normal" body type.
When the star was filming The Hunger Games, she was adamant that she wasn't going to go hungry. "I don't want little girls to be like, 'Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I'm going to skip dinner," she told Vogue. "I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong - not thin and underfed."
Ariel Winter is another actress who celebrates her curves. Despite having been the victim of body shaming, the Modern Family star has now come to a point in her career where she realizes that maintaining her own happiness is more important than trying to please others.
We think she's beautiful, both inside and out.
Model Kate Upton may have graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, but she still struggles with body image, just like the rest of us. Kate is known for her curves, and has had to deal with scrutiny from the media over whether or not she's "fat".
We appreciate that she's setting a positive standard for young girls by embracing her natural shape.
Ever since Hilary Duff was just a teen (and playing the loveable Lizzie McGuire character on Disney Channel), she's been the subject of body scrutiny. While beautiful and thin, she's never been stick skinny. That's why we love the fact that she took to Instagram a few years back with a bathing suit pic exposing her cellulite.
In the caption, Hilary wrote that her body "is healthy and gets me where I need to go. Ladies, let's stop wasting precious time in the day wishing we were different, better and unflawed."
There's no doubt Rihanna is stunning. But in recent years, the singer and Fenty Beauty mogul has dubbed herself "thicc".
She's got curvy hips and thighs and always looks beautiful - whether she's plugging her own lingerie or strutting a new streetwear look.
After Chrissy Teigen took a step back from the modeling world and gave birth to two beautiful children with hubby John Legend, her body changed. She has more cellulite and bigger hips than she did in her catwalk days - and that's perfectly all right!
She's still beautiful and continuing to forge a successful career for herself. As a matter of fact, all these ladies are.
