"I got a movie that nobody approached and I'm still ashamed to have been in it. Its title is Speed 2. I've talked a lot about it. It didn't make sense. A slow ship, going slowly to an island," Bullock recalled in statements to TooFab about the tape in which the main couple tried to prevent the ocean liner they were traveling on from falling into the hands of a computer whacko with dangerous intentions during a Caribbean cruise.
"It's a tape that I wish I had never made and there are no fans of it that I know of, except you," the actress snapped at the journalist, who admitted to declaring herself a self-confessed fan of the sequel to Speed when she was a teenager. "There's a certain cult love for Speed 2," Radcliffe continued before Bullock wrapped up the interview, joking that maybe five people count him and the TooFab reporter.
With a budget of $160 million, Speed 2: Out of Control was a box office flop, grossing $164 million in theaters worldwide. A figure widely surpassed by the first installment, since the film starring Bullock together with Keanu Reeves managed to raise the not inconsiderable figure of 350 million dollars worldwide.
