Channing Tatum confesses how "terrifying" his divorce from Jenna Dewan was: 'I don't know if I'll get married again'

Channing Tatum has opened up about how difficult and terrifying divorcing Jenna Dewan, mother of his daughter Everly, was for him. The actor has given an interview where he opens up to 'Vanity Fair' before the premiere of 'Magic Mike's Last Dance' on February 10th.

Channing Tatum is in luck and there is very little left for 'Magic Mike's Last Dance' to be released, the third part of the trilogy of the most famous strippers in the world, which will hit theaters on February 10.

Before that, the actor has given a candid interview for the magazine 'Vanity Fair' where he occupies the cover of the month of February.

In this interview, Channing has opened up about one of the most difficult moments he has had to go through on a personal level, the divorce from his wife Jenna Dewan with whom he starred in 'Step Up' ('One step forward') in the year 2006.

It was in 2009 when they got married and for almost 10 years they were one of the most beloved couples in Hollywood. Until in 2019 their divorce was made official. "At first, I was very scared and it was super terrifying," the interpreter is sincere.

"Your life just spins on its axis. This whole plan you had literally turns to sand and passes through your fingers and you're like, 'Oh, m---. What now?'" he recalls how scared he was.

Although, he claims that he knows it was something he had to go through: "It was probably exactly what I needed."

"I don't think I would have ever done the work on myself the way I had to to really try to figure out what would follow," he says about the evolution he has been able to experience in recent years.

A job he began by focusing on her daughter with Jenna Dewan, 9-year-old Everly, who inspired him to create the 'Sparkella' children's books: "I just dropped everything and focused on her," he explains. "And it really was the best thing I could have done. Because in the alone moments that I have with just her and me, we've become best friends."

Tatum states that both he and Jenna "fought for [their marriage] for a long time, even though we both more or less knew we had drifted apart."

"I think we told ourselves a story when we were young, and we kept telling ourselves that story, no matter how blatantly life was telling us that we were very different."

"But when you're actually a parent, you really understand the differences between the two of you," he says. "Why is he yelling at you all day? How different are you from other parents, how you look at the world, or how you go about the world."

Channing Tatum is currently in a relationship with Zoe Kravitz, whom he met when the actor was chosen to be in the first 'Batman' actress film as a director, 'Pussy Island'.

So, in the midst of all this candor, Channing admits that he doesn't know "if I'm ever going to get married again." "Relationships are hard for me."
