Playing the title character, Scarlett unleashes all horror on a group of Taiwanese mobsters who kidnap her and turn her into a drug mule. In a strange twist of events, the drugs which have been put into her stomach, leak into her system, thus expanding her brain power, making her superhumanly strong and hyper intelligent.
She goes around the city testing her limitless power, harming whosoever gets into her way. As she gets stronger and stronger, Lucy is able to move objects with her mind and any sensation of pain is long gone.
Veteran actor Morgan Freeman plays the role of a bemused professor in the film, who Lucy approaches to understand her condition.
Produced by Christophe Lambert and Luc Besson, ‘Lucy’ is slated to hit theaters by August 2014.
