David Ramsey, Stephen Amell and Keiynan Lonsdale meet Grant Gustin for the last time in a new image from the set of season 9
The Flash is heating up for its final season next month, and viewers have just gotten a glimpse of the upcoming ninth season. Arrowverse star David Ramsey (John Diggle) recently shared a new behind-the-scenes look via Instagram featuring The Flash star Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) and his co-stars Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow) and Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West / Kid Flash).
Ramsey's photo shows the group decked out in their familiar heroic outfits, mocking up an epic team up for a battle they'll likely all be a part of. With Amell back in the Green Arrow suit, the post goes on to hint that he will return in a fighting capacity. Details about whether it will be due to a flashback or some kind of timeline manipulation remain under wraps. Additionally, Ramsey congratulates Team Flash and expresses his gratitude for the fans:

The returns of Ramsey and Lonsdale were announced earlier this month, with Amell's reveal coming the next day. They continue to rack up an exciting list of returning faces, including Flash alumna Sendhil Ramamurthy as Dr. Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork, Supergirl's Nicole Maines as Nia Nal/Dreamer, and Batwoman's Javicia Leslie appearing as Red Death. The Flash's executive producer, Eric Wallace, shared his enthusiasm for the casting calls, promising "an epic but emotional episode" with the guest stars.
The Flash season 9 picks up a week after Barry's defeat of the Reverse Flash, and he and Iris finally have time to reconnect and grow closer to each other. However, a powerful group of rogues enters Central City and threatens the couple's newfound happiness. So Barry and the team set out to stop them, only to face an even greater and deadlier challenge to the city and the Flash's legacy.
Along with the aforementioned cast, season 9 stars Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton, Brandon McKnight, Jon Cor, Richard Harmon, Max Adler, Andy Maines, and Daimon Poitier. At the moment, no other cast, returning or new, has been formally announced.
