Chris Brown apologizes to Robert Glasper after his Grammy loss

An apology from Chris Brown? Run it!

After losing for Best R&B Album at the 2023 Grammys, the 33-year-old singer apologized to the winner. Roberto Glasper for initially reacting to the loss of him in a series of since-deleted Instagram Stories.

"Congratulations to my brother," the "No Guidance" singer wrote in a screenshot of a direct message he sent to Robert, posted to his Instagram Stories. "I would like to apologize if you were offended by my reaction at the Grammys. You were not the intended target and I know I was very rude and mean. After doing some research, I actually think you're amazing."

Chris—who was also nominated alongside Maria J. Blige, Lucky Day, and PJ Morton—went on to point out that his "intended target" was, in fact, the Recording Academy.

“The organization is not doing us black people our due diligence,” he continued. "You and I should never be in the same category. Two totally different vibes and genres. So, from one black man to another. Congratulations. I hope you can feed your family for life. God bless my G."
