Liam Neeson admits he turned down the role of James Bond

Liam Neeson, who will premiere Non-Stop on March 21, has just confessed that he turned down the role of James Bond on the orders of his wife, the late Natasha Richardson.

Apparently, the famous actor was able to get into the skin of agent 007, but in the end he ended up giving up after his later wife threatened him not to marry him. Neeson and Richardson were married for 15 years until she tragically died in a skiing accident in March 2009.

In a recent interview with the Hull Daily Mail, Liam Neeson has addressed the James Bond offer by saying the following. "Let's say they were very interested in me, although I suppose they were also interested in other actors [...] It was about 18 or 19 years ago and my wife told me: 'If you play James Bond, we don't get married.' to turn down the role... because he wanted to marry her."

Agent 007's next film, James Bond 24 with Daniel Craig, will begin shooting next October for a UK release on October 23, 2015. Until we have any further news on it, check out the trailer for Non- Stop (Non-Stop) by Jaume Collet-Serra.
