The model was posing for photographers at an event when her black Chanel dress turned see-through under the flashbulbs.
The frock was already revealing in nature due to its sheer panels on the skirt, meaning that the 43-year-old had to hold her clutch bag strategically so as not to show too much.
Stephanie bared her long and slender pins in the dress as she attended a dinner thrown by Chanel in New York City.
And although the faux-pas was embarrassing, Stephanie didn’t have to be red-faced about her incredible figure.
Luckily the star also made up for her mishap with elegant accessories in the form of strappy black heels, chandelier earrings and a neat updo for her auburn locks.
The Artist Dinner, held as part of the Tribeca Film Festival, was attended by a host of fashionable stars.
Alexa Chung opted for a black velvet shift dress while Naomi Watts picked a rock chick look and Liv Tyler covered up in a floral maxi dress and long cream coat.
Models Karlie Kloss and Lily Donaldson both looked lovely in satin mini dresses, each of which were in a neutral palette.
Leelee Sobieski opted for powder pink while Camilla Belle chose a quirky grape-printed number.
And former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld’s daughter Julia Restoin-Roitfeld showed maternity wear at its most chic in a printed empire line dress.
Meanwhile Twilight star Kellan Lutz provided all those fashionable females with some eye candy, and Val Kilmer and Robert DeNiro, who attended with wife Grace Hightower, were also at the dinner party.
