Harry and Meghan Expected to Dress Conservatively at Coronation, Won't Be Allowed to Stand Out Like Other Royals

An expert claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have to provide their own attire for King Charles' Coronation and will not be given special robes to stand out like Prince William and other working royals.

While it is not yet known if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the event, they have received an official invitation. It is believed that their children, Archie and Lilibet, have not been invited due to their young age, despite being grandchildren of the new King.

Relations between the Sussexes and the Royal Family are strained, and there are rumored demands that need to be met for their attendance. If they do attend, they will be dressed differently than the rest of the Royal Family, according to royal expert Dr. Tessa Dunlop.

They will not wear robes or a coronet, and any Coronation finery will be their own. Only Prince William will be paying homage to the new King, so it is unlikely that Harry will have to go down on bended knee. The event emphasizes the order of precedence and succession, and working royals are expected to stand out, such as the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children.

The Coronation is all about royal hierarchy, and the visual messaging through costume and carriage will remind everyone who the future King and Queen are, regardless of whether the Sussexes like it or not. Prince William, as heir to the throne, will pay homage to his father, the King, during the ceremony.

Harry may only attend if he has a face-to-face meeting with Charles and William to discuss their issues, as he wants to avoid a toxic atmosphere like the one at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and funeral.
