However, MacLaran cautioned that if Harry and Meghan do attend the event and are met with cold-shoulders from other royals and the British public, it could make them look foolish.
She recommended that a compromise would be best, with Harry attending on his own while Meghan uses the excuse of Archie's birthday to skip the event. This would reduce the risk of them being scorned while still allowing them to maintain their royal connections.
