According to reports, the invite extended to Prince Harry and Meghan
Markle for the Coronation has been met with criticism and branded a "nauseating
display".
Experts are of the opinion that their attendance at the event will be something that "everyone will have to grin and bear".
This viewpoint was expressed by royal author and commentator A.N. Wilson, who speculated that the couple will likely attend a charity event to show support for a neglected section of the community, or hobnob with popular A-list celebrities.
Despite the potential for discomfort, Wilson believes that their attendance has likely been negotiated by a third party, possibly the Archbishop of Canterbury.
He also noted the recent announcement that it will be acceptable to refer to Archie and Lilibet Diana as "Prince" and "Princess", suggesting that some sort of deal may have been struck.
