According to his memoir 'Spare', Prince Harry was quite apprehensive about
removing his beard in front of Meghan Markle. He had even considered shaving it
off for their wedding day but was hesitant due to his fiancé's attachment to it.
The Duke of Sussex explains that Meghan had never seen him without his signature facial hair and enjoyed playing with it and pulling him in for kisses.
He didn't want her to be uncomfortable or feel like she was with a stranger on their special day. Harry had confided in his grandmother, the Queen, about his dilemma, and she had expressed understanding.
As a result, Harry decided to keep his beard for his wedding day with Meghan in 2018.
