Russian artist Andrei Molodkin has vowed to protest the Duke's remarks by projecting a sculpture filled with human blood donated by Afghans onto St Paul's Cathedral. The sculpture will also feature footage of Prince Harry.
Molodkin claims that Harry's remarks made him "very, very angry" and that the idea of his project is to "drench St Paul's Cathedral in the blood of Afghani people." Molodkin has said that four Afghans in Calais have already donated blood for the sculpture and another five Afghans in the UK will donate before the end of March.
The sculpture will be made in the shape of the royal coat of arms and will contain about 1,250ml of blood. The artist has confirmed that a registered nurse will take the blood from donors, keep it in a fridge, and then "pump" it into the sculpture.
The sculpture will then be projected onto the cathedral, resulting in the entire building appearing to be covered in the blood of Afghani people.
