Filming of the low-budget Western movie had been suspended in October 2021 following a fatal shooting incident that took the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
The incident involved a revolver that Baldwin was holding, and the actor was facing charges for the death of Hutchins.
However, Baldwin has now returned to Montana, where the filming resumed last week at Yellowstone Film Ranch.
According to Melina Spadone, a lawyer for Rust Movie Productions, the production is expected to be completed by the end of May. Baldwin took to Instagram to confirm his presence on the set, stating that Montana is stunning.
Under a settlement that Matthew Hutchins, Halyna's widower, reached with the production to resolve a wrongful death suit, he is now an executive producer on the movie. The settlement also includes a documentary on the life and work of the late cinematographer.
