Garelick explained that he wanted the film to be more of an adventure than just a straight murder mystery, and therefore, he tried to put the stars, Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, in the worst possible situations all the time and then use action to get them out of it.
Surprisingly, Aniston and Sandler did a lot of their own stunts, despite having incredible stunt people on set to help. Garelick mentioned that there were moments where producers wanted to intervene and protect the actors, but Aniston and Sandler were keen on doing as much as they could that the studio and producers would allow.
Interestingly, the film features an action sequence on the top of the Eiffel Tower, which is a first for a film. Garelick expressed his excitement about shooting on such an iconic landmark and being able to capture such a thrilling scene.
"Murder Mystery 2" is now available for streaming on Netflix, and fans of the first movie and action-comedies, in general, are sure to enjoy it.
