According to The Sun on Sunday, King Charles has responded to Prince
Harry's decision not to attend his coronation by stating that he is "happy" with
Harry's decision and "understanding" of Meghan's choice to stay behind with
their children.
The newspaper reported that Harry had decided to attend the coronation to show his support for his father, as they both express a "willingness and wanting to mend" their relationship after Harry's explosive revelations in his book and Netflix series.
This will be the first time Harry has seen his family since the release of his memoir and documentary series, which caused quite a stir among the royals.
The report also stated that Harry had a conversation with Charles regarding the invitation, but has not spoken to William. While correspondence with Buckingham Palace occurred prior to Harry's acceptance, no significant talks took place other than discussions over the couple's security at Westminster Abbey.
