Daniela Elser criticized the Duchess of Sussex's podcast, which aired for 12 weeks beginning in August 2022, saying it is likely to have left Spotify executives feeling "nervous" after it failed to perform.
Elser went on to say that even the new podcast "If Books Could Kill" has already overtaken Archetypes on the Spotify charts, despite having only released three episodes so far.
Despite the podcast's initial success and fanfare, including Times Square billboards and a brief stint at number one on the podcast charts, its popularity has since plummeted, currently ranking at number 31 on the platform. Additionally, none of the show's 12 episodes made it onto the top 100-episode chart.
The criticism comes just one day after Meghan's Archetypes podcast series concluded with an episode titled "Man-ifesting A Cultural Shift," featuring guests Andy Cohen, Trevor Noah, and Judd Apatow.
