Piers Morgan, a talk show host, recently criticized Prince Harry for his decision to attend King Charles' coronation, despite previously criticizing the Royal family.
Morgan expressed his disappointment that Harry accepted the invitation to the historic event, suspecting that Meghan Markle may have forced him to do so.
On his show "Uncensored," Morgan invited author and historian Tessa Dunlop and King Charles' former butler Grant Harold to discuss the lack of excitement surrounding the new monarch's coronation.
Dunlop suggested that "royal ceremonial fatigue" may be the cause and that the media's divisive narrative has contributed to the feud among members of the Royal family.
Piers disagreed with Dunlop's assessment, blaming those who have publicly criticized the Royal family through TV interviews and bestselling books. He argued that the media's coverage of this trashing is the real problem.
When Dunlop challenged Morgan's disappointment over Harry attending the coronation, suggesting that he was likely more upset about Meghan not being there, Morgan replied that he was actually disappointed in Harry attending the event.
He went on to criticize Harry and Meghan for their actions, including their book and TV interviews, which he viewed as damaging to the institution of the monarchy.
Morgan added that he believed Meghan had encouraged Harry to attend the coronation because their commercial interests depend on him being a dominant member of the Royal family.
