In his memoir titled 'Spare', the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has
revealed that during his time in Afghanistan, he was given a weekly 30-minute
phone time to connect with his loved ones.
He confesses that he always preferred calling his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy during this time. Prince Harry shares that the phone card provided for this purpose was called Paradigm and had a code on the back that needed to be punched into the keypad.
He vividly recalls the sound of the robot-like woman announcing the number of minutes left. The moment he heard his girlfriend's voice on the other end of the line, he was filled with a mix of emotions.
The idea of home was not an easy one for him to contemplate, given the complexities of his situation. However, hearing Chelsy's voice was like a stab in the chest, as it brought back memories of his old life.
