In his memoir 'Spare', Prince Harry shares an amusing incident from his
time in Afghanistan where he had a flirty conversation with a female pilot.
He mentions that the exchanges with women pilots were quite different from those with male pilots. One night, while speaking to a British pilot, she mentioned how beautiful the moon looked and suggested he should see it.
Prince Harry replied that he already had a view of it through a hole in his wall.
Suddenly, the radio interrupted with a chorus of teasing comments from his colleagues back at Dwyer, telling them to 'get a room'.
The prince felt embarrassed and hoped that the pilot didn't think he was flirting with her.
He also feared that if she and other pilots found out about his identity, they might reveal it to the British press, leading them to believe he was using the war as an excuse to meet women.
