While Buckingham Palace is said to be "pleased" about Harry's attendance, the Duke of Sussex himself is apparently unhappy about being part of such a significant event without his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet.
After weeks of speculation, it was finally confirmed that Harry will be attending the coronation on May 6th, while Meghan and their children will remain in California. While the royal family is no doubt happy to have Harry there, it seems that the Duke is less than thrilled about the whole affair, particularly as his children's fourth birthday falls on the same day as the coronation.
Sources close to Harry have suggested that he will not be staying in the UK for very long and will return to his family as soon as possible. He is also not expected to play any significant role in the coronation ceremony itself and will be seated with other non-working members of the royal family, such as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and their husbands. This is in contrast to his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, who will be seated with the working royals.
It has also been reported that Harry will not be taking part in the King's Procession or the Coronation Procession to and from Buckingham Palace, nor will he be appearing on the balcony of the palace. In fact, there are concerns that he may even be booed by members of the public if he does appear in public during the coronation events.
Overall, it seems that Prince Harry is not particularly looking forward to attending his father's coronation, and is eager to return to his family as soon as possible.
