Prince Harry's Attacks on Camilla in 'Spare': Uncovering the Brutal Irony

Prince Harry's recent attacks on Camilla Parker Bowles, as revealed in his memoir "Spare," have exposed a "brutal irony" in the ongoing rift between Harry and his family.

Prince Harry's Attacks on Camilla in 'Spare': Uncovering the Brutal Irony

Despite Harry's decision to attend King Charles' coronation, sources close to the royal family have indicated that there is little interest in reconciliation, particularly in light of Harry's explosive accusations in his book.

According to Royal Reporter Bronte Coy, who wrote a column on the subject for news.com.au, it is difficult to determine which member of the royal family was targeted the most in Harry's book.

Coy noted that Harry made a "cocktail of accusations" against Prince William, King Charles, and Kate Middleton, with each receiving a fair share of criticism.

However, Coy argued that the "villain" of the story was ultimately Camilla, with Harry launching a fierce attack against his stepmother. Coy also pointed out the irony of the situation, noting that Harry's crusade against Camilla ultimately failed due to a deep protectiveness both he and his father share towards their partners.

Despite Charles' attempts to "turn the other cheek" following Harry's accusations of lying during their tense Sandringham Summit, Harry's attacks on Camilla proved to be the final straw. "No royal was spared (sorry), but Camilla was firmly in the firing line," wrote Coy.

"Among the most brutal of Harry's attacks on his stepmother was the claim that she had planted stories in the press to make herself look better after marrying Charles in 2005."
