Prince Harry has revealed that he struggled to come to terms with the idea
of Camilla becoming his step-mother.
In 2005, when his father King Charles was preparing to marry his long-term partner, Harry experienced a range of complex emotions.
In his own words, he admits that he didn't want to lose another parent, and had mixed feelings about gaining a step-parent who he felt had recently used him for her own personal public relations.
However, seeing the happiness on his father's face on his wedding day made it hard for him to argue with the situation, and he ultimately wanted his father to be happy above all else.
In fact, Harry admits that he even wanted Camilla to be happy, perhaps believing that she would be less of a threat if she were content.
