The Duke of Sussex, who is 38 years old, will be traveling to London for the event, while his wife Meghan Markle will be staying behind with their two children.
Russell Myers, the royal editor for the Mirror, told Sky News Australia that Prince Harry has been worried about his seating arrangement and the overall security arrangements for the event. He has been seeking reassurance from the monarch as he is feeling homesick and misses his family.
It is no secret that tensions have been high between the Sussexes and the royal family ever since they stepped down from their senior roles in January 2020. In their December 2022 Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, the couple spoke out about their experiences at The Firm.
Furthermore, Prince Harry released his explosive memoir, Spare, in January, which contained several allegations against his brother, Prince William, and their father.
Many believed that Harry's attendance at the historic royal event might help repair the strained relationship between father and son. However, Myers finds it difficult to believe that might be the case, saying, "It’s very hard to see how that marriages up with his attitude."
