The Duke of Sussex has been invited to attend the historic event with his wife Meghan Markle, but they have yet to confirm their attendance. This has led many to speculate that they may be skipping the May 6 event.
Commenting on the possibility of Prince Harry not showing up for the coronation, royal expert Alexander Larman suggested that it would be the final straw in the Sussexes' feud with the royals. Larman stated, "If he (Prince Harry) doesn't go to the Coronation, he's essentially saying, 'I am not going to have any relationship with my family ever again'."
These comments come on the heels of Prince Harry's surprise visit to the UK to attend preliminary hearings in his case against Associated Newspapers Limited. His witness statement in the case made headlines, as the Duke of Sussex once again criticized the Royal Family for colluding with the tabloids and failing to protect him and Meghan. Prince Harry stated, "The Institution was without a doubt withholding information from me for a long time about NGN's phone hacking and that has only become clear in recent years as I have pursued my own claim with different legal advice and representation."
