When asked about her worst onscreen kiss, Field shocked the audience by revealing that it was actually Reynolds himself.
She went on to explain that Reynolds simply wasn't a good kisser and had a tendency to drool. Despite this, Reynolds had previously referred to Field as the "love of my life" in a 2015 interview with Vanity Fair.
Field also shared some details about her relationship with Reynolds in her 2018 memoir "Pieces," revealing that Reynolds was controlling and jealous, and would often demand to know about her past relationships.
According to Field, Reynolds would even pinch her face and demand to know the identity of any men from her past.
Reynolds was also known to be difficult to work with, according to his "Boogie Nights" co-star William H. Macy, who called him "clueless" on set. Reynolds himself was critical of the film and director Paul Thomas Anderson, whom he referred to as "young and full of himself."
Despite this, "Boogie Nights" went on to receive critical acclaim and Reynolds was nominated for an Academy Award for his role.
