Instead, it takes its name from its co-hosts: Gayle King, a close friend and wedding guest of Harry and Meghan, and Charles Barkley, the basketball legend-turned-pundit.
According to a production source cited by Express UK, Meghan is at the top of the show's desired guest list, and both Gayle King and the show's executives believe that her involvement would guarantee a significant audience for its launch. The insider also revealed that King is eager to secure the first interview with Meghan, who has recently unveiled a more serious image.
The show, announced last month, is slated to be a one-hour, live discussion program that will air on Wednesdays, as reported by Variety. Gayle King has expressed her intention to host a show that fosters meaningful conversations without resorting to tearing down individuals. Charles Barkley, on the other hand, stated that the program will not rely on clickbait tactics often used by media outlets to increase website traffic for the sake of advertisers.
Chris Licht, CEO of CNN, shared that the show will debut in primetime starting this fall and continue through 2024. This has fueled speculation among royal experts that Meghan Markle has been planning her return to Hollywood for some time.
