Towards the end of 2022, Harry and Meghan were portrayed in a different light with the release of their Netflix docu-series. They also made an appearance at a glamorous event in New York, where Harry humorously referred to it as a "date night" with audience members who paid a significant sum of one million dollars per ticket.
However, since Christmas, Prince Harry has been working on his own, with Meghan deliberately staying out of the spotlight during the promotion of his memoir. According to sources close to the couple, the Duchess expressed concerns about the book and questioned whether Harry was making the right decision.
One source shared with The Telegraph, "Is this the way she would have approached things? Possibly not. But she will always support him and would never have been involved in promoting such a personal project. This was about his own life, his own journey, and his own perspective."
Nevertheless, Meghan's decision to remain out of the public eye has faced criticism from various quarters. Royal biographer Angela Levin, speaking on GB News, questioned Meghan's choice to let Harry face the attention alone and remarked that she had "left him for the lions."
During a conversation with Nana Akua, Ms. Levin stated, "Where is Meghan? People have asked where she was, and she's not there. She's left Harry completely alone. Some people are saying she's done that so he can have all the spotlight... But I don't think that at all. I think she can't bear to be in the spotlight."
She further added, "What kind of wife would let their husband go through that, with those terrible things about him wetting his pants the night before he met her for the first time."
