Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Unhurt After 'Catastrophic' Car Chase

Prince Harry and his wife were able to narrowly avoid a potential car crash when they found themselves being pursued by a group of paparazzi photographers in New York City.

The couple's spokesperson revealed that both Prince Harry, Meghan, and Meghan's mother had experienced a "near catastrophic car chase." This incident occurred shortly after the couple attended an awards ceremony organized by the Ms. Foundation for Women in New York, where Meghan was being recognized for her commendable work.

Social media platforms have since been flooded with images depicting Harry, Meghan, and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, inside a taxi cab.

In a statement, the spokesperson stated, "Last night, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with Ms. Ragland, were subjected to a harrowing car chase orchestrated by an aggressive ring of paparazzi. This relentless pursuit lasted for over two hours, resulting in several perilous situations involving other drivers, pedestrians, and even two NYPD (New York Police Department) officers."

Harry and Meghan made the decision to step back from their roles as senior members of the royal family back in 2020 and relocated to the United States. Their choice was largely influenced by the relentless media harassment they faced.

It's worth noting that Prince Harry has been a vocal critic of media intrusion, as he firmly believes it played a significant role in the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana. She lost her life when her limousine crashed while attempting to escape from pursuing paparazzi in Paris.
