Prince Harry Follows Prince of Wales' Footsteps

Prince Harry Follows Prince of Wales' Footsteps

The Duke of Sussex is set to make a historic court appearance, marking the first time a senior royal has done so in over a century. Prince Harry will be arriving in London next week to provide testimony in his legal case against the Mirror newspaper, which involves allegations of phone hacking.

This significant event will make Prince Harry the first senior member of the royal family to testify in court since 1890. Back then, it was Edward VII, the Prince of Wales at the time, who had to appear in court regarding allegations of his friend's involvement in cheating at cards.

According to The Telegraph, King Charles has made plans to go hiking solo in Transylvania, Romania during the same period when Prince Harry will be in London. As a result, it is unlikely that the two will have the opportunity to meet.

Prince Harry's court appearance is scheduled to take place in the High Court in early June. He will be taking legal action against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) over the alleged phone hacking incidents.

In a previous visit to England, Prince Harry attended his father's Coronation. However, he was in such a hurry to return home to California that he arrived at Heathrow Airport still wearing his medals and morning suit, as reported by The Telegraph.

The King's trip to Romania, which will last for five days, coincides with his son's rare visit to the UK. It is mentioned that the King will not be accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla, on this trip.

Prince Harry is expected to provide his testimony in person during the MGN trial in London early next week. This legal battle will directly pit him against former Mirror editor Piers Morgan.
