However, according to royal expert Nick Bullen, the Duke of Sussex may have missed an opportunity to accept an olive branch from the royal family during his visit for the Coronation of King Charles III.
Bullen revealed that nobody knew what Harry's plans were for the afternoon of the ceremony, and the family had hoped he would stay after the event.
Although it was reported that Harry would stay briefly in London for the ceremony before returning to California for his son Archie's fourth birthday, there was a hope that he might be part of some of the family celebrations back at the palace.
The expert explained that there was likely a sense of sadness among the newly crowned monarch and the other family members that Harry wasn't part of the fuller day, despite their strained relationship. Nonetheless, they all knew he had a plane to catch.
After the coronation, the Duke visited Buckingham Palace for logistical reasons, but he wasn't able to interact with any of the family members as they were all engaged in the ceremony.
