Call to Strip Prince Harry Royal Privilege: £10k Paid in Court Costs, Taxpayers Lose £1M

The Home Office Urges King to Strip Harry's Royal Privilege as Court Costs Soar.

According to recent reports from The Sun, the Home Office is urging King Charles III to remove Prince Harry's royal privilege due to his minimal contribution of £10,000 in court costs, while taxpayers face a loss of over £1 million.

Prince Harry's ongoing legal battles in the High Court are projected to impose significant financial burdens on taxpayers.

His attempt to hire a UK police guard for protection during the rejected bid has already cost £502,000. Prince Harry aims to overturn the verdict later this year, and the expenses are expected to surpass £500,000. Home Office officials are reportedly furious with the escalating costs imposed by Prince Harry.

Surprisingly, Harry is only required to reimburse less than £10,000 in costs. A freedom of information request reveals that taxpayers were left out of pocket by approximately £492,000 for last month's case. The Home Office is unable to recover these costs due to an unspecified loophole, leaving Prince Harry exempt from payment due to his royal privilege.

It is high time for King Charles III to remove Harry and his non-royal children from the line of succession. Moreover, Harry should be held responsible for covering the costs incurred, which would discourage him from pursuing frivolous lawsuits. The British royal family should strip him of all titles and remove him from the monarchy, making him equal to any other individual not in line for the throne.

This seems to align with Harry's desire to be treated equally in the eyes of the press. He can then become an ordinary citizen, relinquishing his concerns as a member of the royal family. If Harry still desires to engage in politics, he can run for office in the House of Commons and earn his merits there, rather than complaining about the disadvantages of his free status.

Ingrid Steward of Majesty magazine expressed her discontent, stating that it is unjust when people struggle to pay their mortgages while someone like Harry, with such privilege, can have an entire court case for free. It is frustrating, particularly during times of economic crisis. Prince Harry allegedly fights to pay for his own security costs to avoid burdening taxpayers, yet he is content to let taxpayers foot the bill when he loses. It appears to be a joke. Let's be honest, Harry would love to be important enough to even slightly impact national security.

After stepping down as working royals three and a half years ago, Harry and his wife Meghan relocated to California. Harry argues that it is unfair and illegal to remove his armed guards when visiting the UK. The Home Office and the Metropolitan Police continue to contest the case, claiming that it is not in the public interest. Last month, the High Court sided with the Metropolitan Police, asserting that it would establish a precedent enabling any millionaire to fund their own private police force.

In other news, there are reports of a US tabloid targeting Meghan Markle with a suggestive headline and a manipulated image on its cover. This sparks a debate about whether Prince Harry will approach the court to protect his wife. Harry made history as the first British royal to appear in the witness box since the 1890s when he testified in his lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers at the High Court in London.
