The legal proceedings are taking place in a London court, where the actress, alongside Prince Harry and other individuals, is pursuing a damages claim against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN). The claim alleges that MGN unlawfully obtained information about Sanderson and other individuals.
The case revolves around 207 newspaper articles that were published between 1991 and 2011, with 33 of those articles specifically referencing Prince Harry, the younger son of King Charles III.
Sanderson, who is 39 years old, informed the High Court in May that she experienced a "physical assault" as a result of "false insinuations" made in articles published by MGN. The specific articles in question have yet to be publicly disclosed.
Andrew Green, the lawyer representing MGN, acknowledged that a private investigator had been instructed by an MGN journalist at The People to unlawfully gather information about Prince Harry's activities at the Chinawhite nightclub on a particular night in February 2004.
However, Green stated that the other allegations presented in the case were either denied or not admitted, with only a few exceptions.
MGN expressed its unequivocal apology for all instances of unlawful information gathering and reassured the claimants that such conduct would never recur.
