Prince Harry Hits Back at Piers Morgan's 'Horrific Attacks'

Prince Harry appears to have initiated a confrontation with Piers Morgan, expressing his strong disapproval of the outspoken television presenter's continuous barrage of appalling attacks and acts of intimidation targeted at him and his wife, Meghan Markle.

In his legal battle against a tabloid newspaper, the Duke of Sussex personally testified in a London high court, directing his criticism towards Piers Morgan, the former editor of the Daily Mirror. This accusation against the ex-host of Good Morning Britain (GMB) was included in a scathing 55-page witness statement released by the Duke on Tuesday.

Prince Harry, the younger son of King Charles III, stated his firm determination to hold the former editor and others accountable for their allegedly repugnant and completely unwarranted behavior. In his witness statement, located on page 12, the husband of Meghan Markle described the emotional impact of discovering that eight private investigators were paid in relation to his late mother, Princess Diana of Wales.

Condemning the former editor, the Duke expressed his profound disgust at "the mere thought of Piers Morgan and his team of journalists intruding on my mother's private and sensitive messages (in the same manner they have done to me)."

Piers Morgan, who held the position of Editor at the Daily Mirror from 1995 to 2004, previously disregarded Harry's accusations against MGM, asserting in an ITV interview that he would not accept lectures on privacy invasion from the royal family.

The Duke wrote, "Presumably, in an attempt to retaliate and hoping to dissuade me from holding him fully accountable for his unlawful actions towards both me and my mother during his tenure as editor."

MGN (Mirror Group Newspapers) responded by stating, "Where historical wrongdoing has occurred, we have acknowledged it, assumed complete responsibility, and offered our sincere apologies. However, we will vigorously defend ourselves against allegations of misconduct when our journalists have acted lawfully."
