The Daily Mail reports that U.S. border officials could question him regarding his admissions if he failed to disclose them on his visa application form. In a recent tweet, Nile Gardner of the Heritage Foundation stated that the Prince Harry immigration records case will be heard in the Washington, DC Federal Court in front of a U.S. Federal Judge.
The foundation is suing Joe Biden's administration in an effort to obtain the Duke's immigration files.
In his memoir, titled "Spare," the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex revealed that he had a history of heavy drinking, cocaine use, and marijuana smoking throughout his life.
While he stated that his cocaine use was limited to his teenage years, he also admitted to experimenting with psychedelics well into his adulthood.
More recently, in an online session with trauma expert Gabor Maté, the former royal mentioned that hallucinogenic drugs had become a significant part of his life.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Raymond G. Lahoud, an immigration lawyer at Norris McLaughlin, explained that Harry could be denied re-entry into the U.S. if he encountered an immigration officer who discovered undisclosed drug use. Lahoud clarified that every time Harry enters the U.S., he is expected to go through Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and any individual would be asked similar questions.
If there is evidence of drug use that was not previously declared, the person could be turned away, regardless of whether there was a conviction.
However, the attorney deemed such a scenario unlikely. Currently, Prince Harry is involved in ongoing lawsuits against several newspapers, including the Daily Mirror, accusing them of hacking his voicemails and employing other illicit methods to obtain stories about him.
